Dow expected to open flat, Fed FOMC meeting might be non event as ECB draghi holds the responsibility of rally or crash. |
It will be be seven month of wait for the stock market to officially get QE3 but the hope of QE3 was given by media not by the Fed. The economic data suggest things are slowing down globally and Fed can do nothing about it. Non of the operation launched by Fed has helped main street except wall street. Fed fomc meeting could be non event as its over hyped. At the same time, stock market is expected to remain down till ECB meeting is over on Thursday and then take direction from there.
ECB has two days to save Euro and that's the message ECB Draghi gave out in his last speech and then Germany's Merkel, Italy's Monti, France's Hollande, USA's Geithner all came to support that message. Watch out rally in GLD, SLV, AGQ if officially money is printed and at the same time DUST, GLL will rally, if there is no money printing. This market could also run out of patience if nothing comes out of ECB meeting. FXE is expected to sell off and EUO is expected to rally if nothing ECB don't cut rate by 50 bps.
Based on the chart Dow, S&P500 and Nasdaq are officially in bearish zone after 3% rally in one week and its expected to decline rest of the week and volatility is likely to rise.
